NorCal Margarita Cocktail Recipe
It's spring! We're ready for beer gardens, outdoor brunches, and margaritas. FINALLY. Looking for a refreshing cocktail with fewer calories and less added sugar? Ditch the sour mix and make your margaritas from scratch. Try our new favorite recipe: NorCal Margaritas!
- Two shots of tequila
- Fresh squeezed juice from half of a lime
- Honey simply syrup (to taste)
- Seltzer or club soda
- Pink Himalayan salt (for the rim)
Make the honey simple syrup by combining honey and water 1:1 in a saucepan. Heat over medium and stir until combined, then let cool to room temperature.
In the meantime, swipe the edge of your glass with a slice of lime and dip the glass rim into salt. We love the pale pink color of Himalayan Pink Sea Salt!
Measure out two shots of tequila (or three, if you're feeling sassy). Add in the lime juice, and your simple syrup to taste (I recommend 1-2 teaspoons). Finish it off with club soda and a few ice cubes. Enjoy!
